Both Bill and his wife Treva grew up in New England. They have spent many years hiking the mountains and enjoying the lakes, as well as skiing and snowshoeing in New Hampshire. In 2020 they decided to build a house near Crotched Mountain and have made New Hampshire their home. After attending the Wooden Boat School in Maine, and building his own 16-foot wooden canoe, Bill decided to put his woodworking skills to good use. It started with one cutting board and has grown into a beautiful line of cutting, charcuterie, and bread boards along with other special-order projects such as trays, recipe holders, and chessboards. Each board is individually crafted by Bill. He cuts the wood to size, glues, planes, and sands each piece. It's then handed over to Treva where she does the finish work; a fern leaf is hand drawn on, then burnt into each piece as a remembrance of her mom. She uses a combination of food grade mineral oil and beeswax to finish it off with a beautiful tone. Each piece is carefully made with care and pride to deliver a quality one-of-a-kind product.
