After celebrating Treva’s 66th birthday in Mississippi we continued heading west. We stopped at four different tire stores before we found the right sized tire and rim to replace the mangled one we threw in a dumpster.

We stayed at a KOA in Lafayette, Louisiana for the night and then crossed the state line for the long and arduous crossing of Texas.

We set up our bunks at a KOA in Montgomery, Texas, the birthplace of the Texas flag. We had a site right next to the lake. We liked the peace and serenity of it so much that we booked an extra night! Plus I needed a good rest after driving for a week and Treva had the extra day to visit with her friend, Treva Jo. Kodi just laid his old bones in the warm sun the whole time. ☀️

From here we watched our beloved New England Patriots lose to the Seattle Seahawks in Superbowl LX. 🏈

Drake Maye now holds the record for taking the most sacks and the most fumbles in NFL playoff history. What that tells me is that his offense line are the ones who really dropped the ball. 🏈

There was a lot of controversy about the halftime show with Bad Bunny. We found it entertaining. We didn’t understand any of lyrics but we understood the message… ❤️ 🤍 💙

I hope you were rooting for the Patriots. They had a great year despite this loss. 🏈
