“Cherish sunsets, wild creatures and wild places. Have a love affair with the wonder and beauty of the earth.” ~ Stewart Udall

Traveling around America you see some amazing creatures… I saw a nine foot alligator sunning itself on a rock that would have been a National Geographic worthy photo… but I missed the shot. 🐊

Just before we left New Hampshire I saw a huge mama bear crossing the road with her three little cubs waddling behind her that would have been a National Geographic worthy photo… but I missed that shot too. 🐻

I had hoped to get some National Geographic worthy photos of bison and elk and bears (oh my) when we visited Yellowstone and the Badlands… but we had to cancel that northern leg of the loop to allow for my cardiac recovery, which was six months ago today. ❤️‍🩹

We did, however, get some photos on this Great American Road Trip 2025 of the vast variety of creatures, large and small, that we saw along the way. These photos of insects, birds, rodents, mammals, and marine life are all from our cameras. I have no idea what a few of them are but for me, encountering wild creatures is the highlight of any journey.

Enjoy…

Happy Holidays! 🎅 🎄 🕎

I hope you love animals more than… anything.

The gam continues…
